Symbols
Tacit draws its own symbols, in one line weight. They name kinds of things and places, never actions.
The set
Tacit's symbols are a font, TacitSymbols, loaded by the kit, with a line and a filled style. A symbol is called by name: Symbol { text: "folder" } or glyph: "music_note" on a row. Installs carry no other symbol font, so a name that is not in the set draws nothing; tools/lint.py reports such names.

Sizes
| Size | Where |
|---|---|
| 17 | The rail |
| 20 | Rows and tools |
| 22 | Back and forward |
The transport's symbols are half the size of their control. A symbol takes its size from Kit.tokens.icon, not from a number of your own.

Symbols are drawn in the secondary ink and go to the main ink under the pointer.
Kinds and places only
A symbol says what a thing is or where it is. A song, a PDF, a folder, a disc image: kinds. Home, Downloads, a drive: places. An action is a word. The one family of exceptions is the few icon buttons (back, forward, close, the rail's fold), which have names for screen readers.

Missing
The set has no album, playlist, article or audio file symbol yet; the Music example uses note_stack and list meanwhile.
